My Trip To The Living Rainforest

Fri 13th Nov 2015

Dear Diary,

On Thursday me and the rest of year 6 all went on a trip to the living rainforest. It was wonderful.

I arrived at school at 8:45am so we could get on the coach for 9:00am. Unfortunately, the coach was 20 minutes late so we left at 9:20am. The journey was 1 hour and 15 minutes long. We arrived at 10:35am and went straight from the coach to the human impact building, our base and put all our belongings down.

Then a lady came in and explained all the rules of  the rainforest, she then told us we had until 11:40am to do what we wanted before the tour. We decided to look around the rainforest, so me and the fabulous pink group explored. The small green house hot and humid, and it smelt so fresh. We first saw a range of leaves and colourful orchids, we also saw lots of butterflies. Next we went into the big green house it was slightly cooler we saw an agouti, a big bird, a pair of toucans, but most excitedly of all a sloth. It had very long, very sharp claws.

At 11:40am we had our tour.
