Trip to the Watercress Line – 2/10/2014

Yesterday, Thursday 10th October 2014 , Year 6 went to The Watercress line, in Alresford! It was really fun, I really enjoyed it! In my group was Helen, Orla, Rosie, Ben, Bailey, Shaun and Joseph, and the group leader was Mrs Hope and Mr Cameron helped out. My favorite part of the day was when we went in the steam train. We walked to the train yard with a volunteer from the station , and we went to the museum for a workshop, with a lady, called Mrs Love!

We found out some interesting facts about building the railway carriages and transporting animals. We also found out what was their before the railway and the local area! I would love to go again! This is a picture of  the history of the railway line!

The two pictures that are above are of a steam train in the yard and a train taking off.
