The Mouse and the Bushbaby

The Mouse and the Bush baby went to sea
In an amethyst purple boat
They took some books and plenty of hooks
Wrapped up in a tiny coat
The Mouse looked over to the valleys beside
And sang to his yellow guitar
“O lovely Bushy O Bushy my love
What a beautiful Bushy you are, you are, you are
What a beautiful Bushy you are”

Bushy said to the Mouse “you have a beautiful house
But your dancing is such a mess
O let us be married to long we have tarried
But what shall we do for a dress?”
They sailed away for two years and two days
To the land where there’s lots of cops
And there in a wood a shop keeper stood
With a dress on a rail in his shop, his shop, his shop
With a dress on a rail in his shop

“Dear keeper are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your dress?” Said the keeper “I will”
So they took it away and were married next day
By the robot that lives on the hill
They dined on meat and rips of sheet
Which they ate with a tune~making spoon
Then hand in hand on the edge of the sand
They danced to the loneliness gloom, the gloom, the gloom
They danced to the loneliness gloom.
