The Meerkat and the Chimp

The meerkat and the chimp went to Guinea
In a very dark blue mini
They took cups of coffee and plenty of toffee
All wrapped up in a delicious panini
Chimp looked up to the stars above
And sang to a blue guitar
“O lovely Peers O Peers my love
What a beautiful  Peers you are, you are, you are
What a beautiful Peers  you are”

Peers said to chimp ” you lovely limp
And how you love to bake
O let us be married for long we have tarried
But what shall we do for a cake?
So they sailed away for a year and a day
To the land were the shops are at health
And there in a shop a shopkeeper stood
With a cake on the top of a shelf,
A shelf, a shelf
With a cake on the top of a shelf

“Dear shopkeeper are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your cake?” S
aid the shopkeeper “I will”
So they took it away and  were married the next day
By the gecko who lives on the hill
They dined on chips that they dunked in dips
which they ate with a narrative spoon
And hand in hand on the edge of the sand
They danced by the light of the moon,
The moon, the moon
They danced by the light of the moon
