The Fish and the Zebra

The fish and the zebra went to the moon
In some dazzling tupperware
They took some steak and plenty of cake
Wrapped up in the skin of a pear
The fish looked up at the stars around
And sang to a fake guitar
“O wonderful zebra, O zebra my love,
What a lovely zebra you are,
You are, you are,
What a lovely zebra you are”

Zebra said to the fish, “you handsome dish
You don’t seem at all that frail
Oh let us be married, too long have we tarried
But what shall we do for a veil?”
They flew away for three years and a day
To the world where boys live in a shed
And there in a wood, a jester stood
With a veil on the top of his head,
His head, his head,
With a veil on the top of his head.

“Dear Jester, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your veil?” Said the Jester “I will”
So they took it away and were married next day
By the dodo who lives on the hill.
They dined on pips and slices of chips
Which they ate with a bendy spoon
And tail in tail whilst receiving some mail
They read by the light of Neptune,
Neptune, Neptune,
They read by the light of Neptune
