The Dog and the Monkey

The dog and the monkey went to the sun
In a bright white aeroplane
They took some hats and plenty of mats
Wrapped up in candy canes
The monk looked down to the Earth below
And sang to a rock guitar
“O lovely dog, O dog my love
What a beautiful dog you are,
You are, you are
What a beautiful dog you are”

Dog said to the monkey “you’re very funky
How charmingly sweet you sing
O let us be married too long we have tarried
But what shall we do for a ring?”
They flew away for a year and a day
To a planet where there is a jail
And there in a wood a dino stood
With a ring at the end of his tail,
His tail, his tail
With a ring at the end of his tail

“Dear Dino are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?” Said the dino “I will”
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the chimp who lives on the hill
They dined on toffee and cups of coffee
Which they ate with a sensible spoon
And hand in hand on the edge of the sand
They danced to the light of Neptune,
Neptune, Neptune
They danced to the light of Neptune
